Overall these boots are a great value for the relatively low price. I was about to purchase a pair of Kate Spade boots for almost $300 but at the last moment did not want to spend the money. The Kate Spade boots are admittedly cuter but the Hush Puppies are 1/3 of the price - maybe 1/3 less cute, too.The water resistant and scuff proof suede is legit. The fabric held up well to our first snow of the season and our dogs running across my boots a few times while I was playing with them.Best of all, at least from my perspective, these boots are super comfortable right out of the box. I wore them all weekend, even walking around a museum. These will be my go to boots for the fall and part of the winter.
Felt true to size
Felt true to width
Moderate arch support
These boots arrived just in time for a weekend of entertaining friends from out of town. I wore them all weekend long, and they were very comfortable - and even tested the waterproof suede in some unexpected rain. They held up well and the water left no trace. I like the height of the shaft - a bit taller than a bootie but no quite mid-calf (I'm 5'8"), which is perfect for early fall when you aren't quite ready for knee-high boots. These are going to be a great staple this fall!
Lovely boots but NOT WIDE! Darn it!
Felt a half size smaller than marked
Felt narrower than marked
No arch support
I ordered these to wear with my custom orthotics. I also have very high arches/insteps, very narrow heels, but an average width forefoot. I ordered my usual size (8M) and found these too large in the heel/shaft -- my heels slipped up while walking, and the shaft was much too wide for my skinny calves. However, a size smaller would have been too tight in the toes or too short in the length.
Ok, these are super comfy! Problem is they are a bit frumpy. Got a couple negative comments on them from husband and a friend. Kind of one step above ugg boots! Maybe good for a quick trip to the store but that is about it! They are comfy though!!!!
