I was not sure what to expect from a "nurse's" shoe but I needed a dark pair of office shoes with a substantial arch. I got one in the Vigor. I don't walk around a whole lot at work so these work fine for my needs. I'm not sure I could spend a day on my feet (or a few hours at the zoo, etc...) in these shoes though. They are very solid, with a high arch that is very obvious to my foot. It doesn't hurt and I know it is supporting my foot very well. (thus, 4 stars for comfort for long term walking) The little zipper on the side is a nice touch and you don't have to untie if you use it. The heel back is slightly lower than I am used to but all in all, this is a well built shoe for high arches and those who may pronate in their stride. I'd say it is worth ordering to try them. You might be pleasantly surprised.
Felt true to size
Felt true to width
Excellent arch support
This shoe is very supportive but although I have a wide forefoot, i have a rather narrow heel. The heel on this shoe is way too wide for me and so regretfully I had to return it.
Had high hopes for this shoe. Unfortunately, there is a seam inside of the shoe that rubs on the outside toe on both feet. Left terrible blisters. Disappointed.
Felt narrower than marked
Moderate arch support
I bought these because of the reviews. I am a restaurant manager who works at the very least of 10 hours per day. I was super excited to wear them because I have a very hard time with my feet. I tried them on and immediately noticed how tight they were on my toes. I ordered the 8 wides. I thought I could get past that fact but when I went into work I could barely keep my footing. So they must go back.
I wear 11W to WW. I tried a different style of Nurse Mates as well and their wides are nowhere near wide...more like Medium. These were very stiff and not very comfortable either. Returned.
Felt a half size smaller than marked
